John Miller from Tayinloan has been appointed as Lead Gardener at Achamore Gardens and he started his contract this week. John joins the Trust’s team with extensive horticulture/arboreal expertise in large estates, most recently at Ardmore House on Islay where he was Head Gardener. He has also been a self-employed tree surgeon and estate manager. Say hello when you see him in the gardens which are looking really lovely at this time of year thanks to the efforts of Maurice Foster who has been working solo there for several months.
